About Kemuri Kabuto (Smoke Helmet)

Introducing a revolutionary range hood accessory, the Japan-designed extension panel, which has been granted a utility model registration certificate (No. 3236075) by the Patent Office in January 2022. This innovative product offers a unique solution by extending the coverage of your kitchen extractor fan to capture more of the hot air, evaporating oil and cooking odors that tend to escape from the sides and front of your range hood. Not only that, but this product is also internationally recognized with a March 2022 registration of an international patent application (PCT/CA 2 0 2 2 0 5 0 9 6 5) by the European Union International Patent Office. Don't miss out on this innovative idea that holds domestic and foreign patents.

Who should consider using Kemuri Kabuto?

Those who enjoy cooking their favorite spicy foods but dislike the lingering cooking smells. Kemuri Kabuto is the solution. This innovative product can help you save money on cleaning supplies, filter replacements, air fresheners, and clothes fresheners. Those who avoid deep frying food due to the unpleasant smell of evaporating oil that spreads in the room.

Kemuri Kabuto - How It Works

Tested by Professional

Supervised by Mr. Ishikawa, a certified Environmental Odor Advisor and Specialist since 1996, two types of tests were conducted in a residential kitchen to evaluate the product's effectiveness. The tests involved pan-frying lamb chops and smoking a cigarette under the range hood. A brief overview of the test findings is provided below. For more information, please consult the test results pictures in the gallery section (available in Japanese only).

"After conducting a comprehensive evaluation, it was confirmed that the use of "Kemuri Kabuto" can enhance the odor discharge effect even when the air supply is limited. In situations where a significant amount of steam is generated during boiling or simmering, regular range hoods may not effectively contain the cooking odors, which tend to spread throughout the room. However, the "Kemuri Kabuto" trapping effect functions effectively in such conditions."

Flexible Deign

This product is designed to provide a hassle-free installation experience, allowing you to set it up within just 5 minutes!

With its stretchable and highly flexible design, it can be easily attached to range hoods of various sizes and shapes using magnets. This unique product is composed of two main parts, a telescopic frame and removable panels.

The telescopic frame is suitable for range hoods with a width of 60 to 90 cm and stays firmly in place with the help of strong magnets. Depending on how the range hood is mounted, the rear panels can be independently adjusted to either 45 or 90 degrees and securely attach to the bottom of the frame. Kemuri Kabuto is made of both heat-resistant and non-toxic materials, ensuring that it can withstand temperatures much higher than those required for cooking (up to 146°C).

We are confident in the quality of our product, which is why we offer a full money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied with its performance.

Kemuri Kabuto: From Concept to Reality

The concept of this product was born during the constraints of the stay-at-home period during COVID-19. When cooking three meals a day at home, the smell of cooking lingers in the house. The inventor himself was troubled by the smell of cooking, even though he frequently used air fresheners and ventilation systems at home.

According to a survey, it was found that even when the range hood fan was running at full power, a significant amount of heat and oily steam was leaking from the sides and front of the range hood, which was considered to be the main cause of cooking odors spreading to the kitchen and adjacent rooms.
